The current version of Grandview Heights Municipal Pool opened to the public in May 2017 after a complete renovation of the original 1932 facility.  The pool includes water slides, lap lanes, hot-pool, diving boards, and other amenities; memberships and passes can be purchase by residents and non-residents.

This 1932 architectural rendering shows the first pool in Grandview Heights. It was built and opened by the Grandview Swimming Pool Company on Memorial Day 1932 as a private enterprise. At the time, the swimming pool was the largest in Columbus at 150 feet by 75 feet; it was fed by a natural spring. The pool was operated privately until the city purchased it in 1977 for $150,000, and opened it as a community pool in 1978.

The red clay tile roof and cupola features of the 1932 pool building (shown here) were reproduced in the entrance of the 2017 facility as a homage to the community's swimming history.

In the early 1900s, before the 1932 private pool opened, Grandview Heights residents cooled off at a swimming hole made from part of a gravel pit. The swimming hole was located near the site of the current City of Columbus water treatment plant off Dublin Road. Community members hauled in sand to create a beach and built a beach house for changing clothes.
